Sanity on Wheels Awareness Initiative has advised motorists and other road users to be safety conscious as the Yuletide approaches.

The President of the group, Mr. Iyke Okafor, said this at a sensitisation campaign organised by Corporate Chauffeurs Driving School, in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps to mark the United Nations’ World Day for Remembrance of Road Traffic Victims, said the programme became imperative so as to curb impunity among road users and stressed the need to always do the right thing.

He added that if motorists had keyed into the ethics or conduct guiding the use of the road, there would be sanity and most people that had fallen victims of road crashes would not have done so.

Also at the event, a Staff Officer, Department of Education, Lagos Command, FRSC, Mrs. Olabisi Sonusi, while talking on ‘Human error: Major cause of road traffic crash’, told the participants that safety starts with the driver and urged them to be physically and mentally stable before driving.
