The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) Micro-Finance Bank has directed that policemen be deployed in recovering all loans granted to defaulters by the bank, in order to keep the financial institution viable.

Although the management of the Bank expressed satisfaction over the loan repayment by some customers but pointed out that the outstanding loans should be recovered from defaulters through the intensive effort of the Police.

The Company Secretary, Mrs. Osaro Idemudia, who represented the Managing Director at a Customer Forum said the Bank made this possible to serve as a platform for interaction between the customers and to chart a way forward in serving them better.

Idemudia pledged to look into ways of assisting the teeming customers of the Bank to excel, just as “the management will do more by looking into their complaints.”

Besides, Chairman of the Customer Forum, Kehinde Yusuf, while giving assurance that customers will not default in loan repayments to the Bank, however urged, “the Management to assist in using Policemen in various Police Headquarters in their domain to recover money from the loan defaulters.”

Enlightening the public on the activities of the Bank, the Head of Marketing, Mrs. Fatima Olajumoke, remarked that “the initiative became necessary to let the public know that NPF Micro-finance Bank is not meant for the men and officers of Nigeria Police community alone, but for the general public and we are ready to assist small and medium scale industry to grow.”

According to her, the Bank has made tremendous effort to assist many customers in excelling in their various businesses, noting “the bank is expanding rapidly across the nation to serve Nigerian populace better.”

The officials of the NPF Micro-finance Bank used the occasion to reward notable customers of the Small, Medium Enterprises/Micro unit with gifts and other items.
