  • Kebbi Approves N1.6b for Expansion of 13 Hospitals, Others

In line with the administration’s policy in providing the health care service delivery to its people, Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu Abubakar has approved the sum of N1.6b for the renovation and rehabilitation of 13 hospitals in the state.

Briefing newsmen yesterday at the end of the state executive meeting held in Birnin Kebbi, Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Usman Umar Kambaza, said the renovation and other facilities would cost government over N1.6billion.

The affected hospitals are in Yauri, Koko, Zuru, Dirin Daji, Jega, Kamba, Illo, Bagudo, Zauro, Wasagu, Kambaza and Bunza Local Councils.

Also briefing newsmen, Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Maigari Abdullahi Dakingari, said the Council approved Phases 1 and 11 of accreditation of courses at the College of Agriculture, Zuru and N164million for the upgrade of dilapidated structures in the college.

The Council equally approved funds for repairs of burn hostel at the Federal Science Technical College, Zuru and the completion of structures and provision of equipment at Adamu Augie College of Education, Argungu.
