Technology Times has announced six nominees for its person of the year 2016 award. The nominees include the Chairman, Globacom Limited; Mike Adenuga; the Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Danbatta; and the Chairman, Zinox Technologies, Leo Stan Ekeh.

Others are the pioneer Minister of Communications Technology, Omobola Johnson; the Chief Executive Officer, MainOne, Funke Opeke; and the pioneer Chairman, Visafone Communications Limited, Jim Ovia

In a statement on Monday, the Founder/Chief Executive Officer, Technology Times Media Limited, Shina Badaru, said, “The award honours the person who has made the most enduring contribution to the country’s Information and Communications Technology industry.”

Badaru said the final honouree would be decided through a complementary decision of Technology Times Editors (40 per cent) and online voting (60 per cent) by the Internet community on the official website of the company, www.technologytimes.ng.
