First Bank of Nigeria Limited has won the 2016 Global Finance Digital Bank of Distinction award.

The new award recognises outstanding accomplishments in digital banking made by middle-market and local banks.

Now in their 17th year, the Global Finance awards have become one of the most prestigious honours in the industry.

The Head, Digital Banking, First Bank, Mrs. Folasade Femi-Lawal, described the award as a testament to the lender’s commitment in leveraging evolving technologies to bring fast and convenient financial services closer to Nigerians.

In a statement on Tuesday, Femi-Lawal was quoted to have said, “Today, we are delighted that we have been able to deliver digital banking solutions that support the consumer lifestyle by providing users with an instant suite of financial options.”
